Back in April, I posted the launch announcement for my friend Nona King’s “sweet and spicy romance” titled My Fair Princess. I promised to review it for the blog and Amazon, but life got a bit distracting shortly afterward, and it took me a while to get back to it.
As a result, I needed to re-read the book to refresh my memory. It was every bit as entertaining and heart-fluttering the second time around. To watch the love bloom between Princess Nia Alaera and Mayor Shamus O’Neill was a welcome change from the types of romance novels I’ve read in the past. Most of the time in this genre, it’s either instant attraction followed by a tumble into bed, or love on one side and some other emotion on the other. It’s all driven by feelings, hormones and pheromones.
